Circle of Security - Parenting (COSP) is a relationship-based program grounded in attachment theory. It helps parents and caregivers understand children’s emotional needs, attachment styles, and cues; and how to respond in ways that build trust, resilience, and secure relationships. The program combines visuals, video clips, and real-life conversations to make concepts practical and relatable. It is relevant not only for young children, but also for young people and adolescents.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Recognise and respond to children’s emotional cues and attachment needs

  • Understand attachment styles and how they shape relationships

  • Support children and young people to manage big emotions

  • Build secure attachment, resilience, and self-esteem

  • Reflect on your own caregiving approaches and experiences

Delivery modes:

  • Typically delivered as 6-8 weekly sessions (90 minutes to 2 hours each)
